Join our dedicated healthcare teams at NEW SOLUTIONS HEALTHCARE LLC as WE PARTNER WITH DENTON TEXAS State-Supported Living Center, where your skills will make a meaningful difference in the lives of individuals with developmental disabilities and complex health needs. This vital role offers an energetic environment focused on compassionate patient care, critical assessments, and collaborative teamwork.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Provide care for patients - manage medication administration and treatments; provide medication education and complete documentation.
- Perform computer data entry - Receive full training.
- Comply with facility Standard Operating Procedures to meet standards for accrediting agencies; specifically, ICF-IDD Regulations, DSSLC Policy and Directives and HHSC Standards, Rules and Directives.
Qualifications
- Valid LVN licensed with current state certification; experience working with people with disabilities preferred.
- Demonstrated proficiency in medical terminology, anatomy knowledge, and physiology fundamentals.
- Background in long-term care, hospice care, or acute care settings including hospitals or nursing homes.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Must possess valid LVN license.
- Must have at least 2 years of experience
- Must comply with HHSC immunization requirements.
- Must submit to HHSC required drug test.
- Must submit to HHSC required fingerprinting.
- Must complete facility and HHSC required training.
- Items BELOW are required at time of INTERVIEW
- Must have valid PHOTO ID
- Resume' or work experience
- Two complete references from two different places of employment by supervisor of the nurse
- A NURSYS report showing any licenses held (must be current)
- Skills checklist
First 2 weeks will require training 8am-5pm Monday-Friday
- 40 hours per week guaranteed (For the 6-2 and 2-10 shifts)
