Locums - Portsmouth, Virginia, Vascular Surgery Opening
Clinical Role
- Anticipated start date: March 1, 2027
- Coverage needs may include holidays, vacations, weekdays, and weekends
- 100% inpatient Vascular Surgery
- Adult and geriatric patient population
- Approximately 5-10 patients per day
- Daily hospital coverage with night and weekend call
- No teaching or leadership responsibilities
Schedule & Call
- Monday-Friday daytime coverage: 8:30 am-4:30 pm
- Weeknight call: 4:30 pm-8:30 am
- Weekend call: Friday at 4:30 pm-Monday at 8:30 am
- Beeper/phone call
- Approximately 3 callback hours
Practice Setting & Procedures
- Hospital-based
- Standard Vascular Surgery procedures
- Dialysis access
- Local procedures
- No trauma designation
- Epic EMR
Requirements & Credentialing
- Board certification in Vascular Surgery required
- Vascular Surgery fellowship required
- Active Virginia license required
- Active DEA required
