Overview:Sentara Health Plans is seeking to hire a qualified individual to join our team as an Insurance Premium Payment Associate!Position Status: Full-time, Day Shift
Standard Working Hours: Once training is complete, candidate must be able to work 9:00am to 6:000 PM EST, M-F with a hybrid schedule requiring 2 days a week in office. No weekends required
Position Location: 2 in office days (Hybrid work schedule) at Sentara Park 1300 in Virginia Beach.
Insurance Premium Payment Associate Responds to record and process telephonic payment inquiries throughout the day in a higher volume call queue environment. Responsible for taking both initial and ongoing payments for insurance products while maintaining a high level of customer service. Responsible to work in multiple computer programs at a time. Must be able to maintain a high level of service to customers while managing changing volume demands of the call center.
Education - High school diploma or equivalent
Certification/Licensure - No specific certification or licensure requirements
Experience - 1-year customer service experience REQUIRED
- Payment and or Billing experience in healthcare is highly preferred
- Computer skills & strong verbal skills in English REQUIRED
- Must have experience in a call center & be detailed-oriented highly preferred
- Healthcare environment experience a plus
- Reliable transportation essential to success in role

Talroo - Health Plan
We provide market-competitive compensation packages, inclusive of base pay, incentives, and benefits. The base pay range for full-time employment is $22.02 - $32.66 hourly. Additional compensation may be available for this role, such as shift differentials, standby/on-call pay, overtime, shift premiums, extra-shift incentives, or bonus opportunities. Compensation within the range may vary based on qualifications, experience, location, market conditions, and business needs.
