Job Requirements
- Board certified by ABEM
- Active physician license and eligibility to practice in Virginia
- ATLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications required
- Strong clinical judgment and the ability to perform in a fast-paced emergency department
- Excellent communication, teamwork, and collaboration skills
- Experience in high-acuity emergency medicine or hospital emergency care preferred
Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality emergency care during overnight shifts
- Evaluate, diagnose, and stabilize patients with urgent and emergent conditions
- Work efficiently in a high-volume emergency department while maintaining excellent patient flow
- Collaborate with nurses, support staff, and consulting services to coordinate patient care
- Document patient encounters thoroughly and accurately in the medical record
- Respond quickly to changes in patient condition and initiate appropriate interventions
