Job Requirements
- At least 1 year of experience in pediatric hospital medicine, neonatology, or a closely related setting
- Active California medical license
- DEA registration required
- Board certified or board eligible within 3-5 years of residency
- ACLS, BLS, PALS, and NRP required
- Experience with neonatal airway management, newborn resuscitation, and care for 32-week preemies and up
- Comfort managing both NICU patients and pediatric patients in a combined care setting
- Clean professional file preferred for credentialing
Responsibilities
- Provide inpatient pediatric and neonatal coverage, with a strong focus on NICU care
- Manage newborn resuscitations and stabilize neonates requiring hospitalist support
- Perform neonatal airway management, including intubation when needed
- Support treatment of neonatal air leak and pneumothorax, including needle decompression
- Place UVC and UAC lines, including emergent delivery room UVC access
- Perform lumbar punctures and interpret EKGs
- Collaborate closely with the care team to deliver high-quality, family-centered care
