TeamHealth

Anacortes, Washington

Job description

Are you ready to practice hospital medicine surrounded by breathtaking coastal views and a Pacific Northwest charm? Join TeamHealth at Island Health, recognized as one of the Top 100 Rural Hospitals in the U.S.; known for providing compassionate, high-quality care to the residents of Anacortes, Washington, and surrounding communities.

TeamHealth is seeking a full-time, board-certified family medicine/internal medicine physician with 1-2 years working hospitalist experience to join our team. This is an excellent opportunity to practice in a supportive, collegial environment that values teamwork, balance, and clinical excellence.

Island Health is a Level III community hospital and Level II Stroke Center with 43 total beds and a 6-bed open ICU. Enjoy a block schedule of day shifts only from 7a-7p, while overseeing 17-18 total patient encounters per shift. Our hospitalist team does handle vent management as the only required procedure within the open ICU and have tele-ICU available 24/7 as needed for back-up support. From 7p-7a we have a tele-hospitalist team overseeing the night shift, that typically consists of 2-5 admissions with RRT available 24/7 when needed. Our established ED team will respond to all codes as needed. Island Health utilizes Meditech Expanse with Dragon Dictation for their EMR, and we have most specialty support in place for any consults that are needed throughout the shift and onsite helipad available for transfers.
