Job description

Swedish Medical Group is seeking a full-time board-certified/board-eligible Orthopedic Surgeon to join its growing orthopedic program in Issaquah, Washington. We welcome surgeons with expertise in General Orthopedics, Sports Medicine, Total Joint Replacement, or a combination of these practice areas. This position offers the opportunity to join a highly collaborative team focused on delivering exceptional musculoskeletal care within one of the Pacific Northwest's leading healthcare organizations.


The successful candidate will build a busy clinical and surgical practice supported by an established referral network, advanced imaging, rehabilitation services, and a strong multidisciplinary team. This role provides an opportunity to practice in a rapidly growing Eastside community while enjoying access to the resources and reputation of Providence Swedish.


Position Details:


  • Full-time orthopedic surgery practice
  • Practice focus may include General Orthopedics, Sports Medicine, Total Joint Reconstruction, or a combination thereof
  • Established referral base with strong primary care and specialty support
  • Dedicated operating room access and advanced surgical facilities
  • Collaborative team environment with experienced APP support
  • Opportunity to participate in program development and growth initiatives
  • Mix of clinic, surgical, and call responsibilities

Compensation and Benefits:


  • Compensation is between $648,725 and $828,358 per year
  • Competitive compensation model with productivity incentives

The compensation amounts listed may include productivity or quality/service incentives, call pay, extra shift incentives, as applicable to the position. In addition, providers may have CME benefits available to them.


Qualifications & Requirements:


  • MD or DO degree
  • Board Certified or Board Eligible in Orthopedic Surgery
  • Eligible for Washington State medical licensure
  • Fellowship training welcomed but not required depending on specialty focus
  • Commitment to patient-centered, team-based care

Where You'll Work


Swedish Medical Center s Issaquah Highlands campus is a full-service community hospital 17 miles east of downtown Seattle. The 80-bed facility provides a wide range of inpatient and outpatient specialty care, including oncology, cardiology, obstetrics and gynecology, pediatrics, emergency, intensive care and a host of specialized surgical services. The Swedish Issaquah emergency department received the prestigious Summit Award by Press Ganey Associates for maintaining patient satisfaction scores in the 95th percentile or above for at least three years.
