An established private primary care practice in Garland, TX is seeking a Nurse Practitioner for a short-term coverage assignment. Over five weekday shifts, you will provide comprehensive outpatient care to an adult and geriatric patient population, seeing approximately 18 patients per day. You ll have a one-hour lunch break each day, and the practice charts in eClinicalWorks (ECW). This is a 1099 contract position, so employee benefits such as health coverage, PTO, and retirement are not included unless separately agreed upon.
Position Offers:
- Competitive pay of $75.00 $80.00 per hour, depending on experience
- Malpractice coverage provided by the practice
- Short-term, five-shift assignment (November , 2026)
- Manageable patient volume of approximately 18 patients per day
- Daily one-hour lunch break (1:30 PM 2:30 PM)
- Opportunity to work with an established outpatient primary care team
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide comprehensive primary care services to adult and geriatric patients in an outpatient setting
- Evaluate, diagnose, and manage acute and chronic medical conditions
- Conduct patient histories, physical exams, and routine follow-up visits
- Develop treatment plans and prescribe medications as appropriate
- Order and interpret diagnostic tests and lab studies
- Provide preventive care, health education, and chronic disease management
- Maintain accurate, timely clinical documentation in eClinicalWorks (ECW)
- Coordinate care with the supervising or collaborating physician and clinical staff, in compliance with Texas regulations
Qualifications:
- Current, unrestricted Nurse Practitioner license in Texas
- National NP certification in the appropriate specialty; FNP or AGPCNP preferred
- Outpatient primary care experience preferred
- eClinicalWorks (ECW) experience strongly preferred
- Ability to independently assess and manage adult and geriatric patients within scope of practice
- Strong clinical judgment, communication, and documentation skills
- Availability for all five shifts, November , 2026
- Ability to complete required credentialing and onboarding before the assignment begins
