What You ll Do
- Support adult patients with infectious diseases, primarily HIV, through in-office physical assessments, medical history reviews, and diagnostic test interpretations
- Conduct preventative health screenings tailored to patient age and history
- Educate patients and families on medical conditions, treatments, and follow-up care
- Document all patient care accurately across clinical records
- Perform office-based specialty procedures within departmental guidelines
- Collaborate with staff including RNs, CMAs, and physicians to ensure comprehensive patient care
- Assess, problem-solve, and evaluate clinical workflows to improve outpatient specialty care
What You Need
Required: - Valid North Carolina RN & Nurse Practitioner license
- Board certification in specialty (ANCC, NCC, AMCB, AANP, or PNCB)
- Must have at least 3 years of relevant experience
- BLS certification (American Red Cross or AHA)
- DEA license
Preferred: - NRP certification for neonatal advanced practice
- Experience working with HIV or infectious disease patient populations
