Opportunity:
Advanced Practitioners - Endocrine Surgery

Job Details:
  • Join a growing Endocrine Surgery Program working alongside an experienced endocrine surgeon in the care of patients with thyroid, parathyroid, and adrenal disorders
  • Assist the endocrine surgeon in the operating room as a surgical first-assist
  • Conduct new patient consultations and preoperative evaluations
  • Perform comprehensive histories, physical examinations, and treatment planning in collaboration with the surgeon
  • Participate in preoperative and postoperative patient management
  • Review laboratory results, imaging, pathology, and diagnostic studies and communicate findings to patients and the care team
  • Provide patient education regarding diagnoses, treatment plans, surgical procedures, medications, and follow-up care
  • Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and ancillary team members to ensure high-quality, patient-centered care
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives and practice development efforts
  • Monday through Friday schedule with a blend of outpatient, inpatient, and surgical responsibilities
  • Graduate of an accredited Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant program required
  • Current Connecticut APRN or PA license or eligibility for licensure required
  • National board certification required
  • DEA eligibility or current prescribing privileges required
  • BLS and ACLS certification required
  • Previous surgical, inpatient, or endocrine experience preferred but not required

Compensation:
Employed salary with benefits.
