A reputable healthcare organization is seeking a Neonatal Nurse Practitioner (NNP-BC) to join an established neonatal team in Albuquerque, New Mexico. Practice Highlights
- Level III NICU
- 30-bed NICU (no nursery coverage)
- Average daily census of approximately 15 patients
- In-house NNP coverage
- Neonatologists available for consultation and support
- Collaborative multidisciplinary care team
- Evidence-based and family-centered approach to neonatal care
Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive neonatal care in a Level III NICU setting
- Evaluate, diagnose, and manage critically ill and premature newborns
- Attend high-risk deliveries and perform neonatal resuscitation as needed
- Develop and implement treatment plans in collaboration with the neonatal care team
- Communicate effectively with families regarding patient progress and care plans
- Maintain accurate and timely medical documentation
- Participate in quality improvement and patient safety initiatives
Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited Neonatal Nurse Practitioner program
- Board Certified Neonatal Nurse Practitioner (NNP-BC)
- Current or eligible New Mexico licensure
- Experience in a Level III NICU preferred
- Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
