CRNA Locum Tenens Job Details
- Weekly Estimated Pay: $5,000-$5,830
- Openings: 3
- Location: Hershey, Pennsylvania

- Practice Environment: Large academic hospital and Level I trauma setting
- Start Date: October 26, 2026, or as soon as credentialing is completed
- Duration: Approximately 64 weeks, through December 31, 2027
- Schedule Options: 10-hour shifts from 8:30 a.m. to 7:00 p.m.; or 12-hour shifts from 6:30 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. with a 7:00 a.m. start on Thursdays
- Call: No call requirement
- Care Model: Medical direction with an approximate 2:1 or 3:1 CRNA-to-anesthesiologist/provider ratio
- Credentialing: Estimated 90-day timeframe; temporary privileges are not available
- Scheduling Notes: No guaranteed hours. Overtime requires department administrator approval.
CRNA Job Requirements
- At least 1 year of CRNA experience, with the ability to practice independently after credentialing
- Current Pennsylvania CRNA/APRN license
- Current CRNA certification and required board certification or certification status
- Current BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications
- Demonstrated competence in general anesthesia and perioperative patient management
- Experience with adult, pediatric patients age 5 and older, trauma, neurosurgical, orthopedic, and thoracic cases preferred
- References should be provided with the initial submission
- A DEA license is not required for CRNAs practicing in Pennsylvania
- Ability to complete the required credentialing process and maintain accurate time records, including clocking in and out for meal periods
Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist Responsibilities
- Assess, prepare, and manage patients throughout the perioperative and procedural periods
- Perform comprehensive histories, physical examinations, pre-anesthetic evaluations, informed consent discussions, and post-operative assessments
- Develop and implement individualized anesthetic plans in collaboration with the anesthesia care team
- Provide anesthesia care for general, orthopedic, trauma, plastics, neurosurgery, pediatrics age 5 and older, endoscopy, NORA, robotic surgery, gynecology, ENT, and other appropriate procedures
- Administer general anesthesia, monitored anesthesia care, spinal anesthesia, and other appropriate techniques based on patient and procedural needs
- Provide advanced airway management and support ventilation management
- Perform invasive monitoring and line placement, including central venous and arterial lines, as indicated
- Evaluate and manage acute volume and blood pressure changes during the perioperative period
- Communicate effectively with anesthesiologists, surgeons, procedural teams, nurses, and other healthcare professionals
- Participate in safe patient handoffs and ensure continuity of care through recovery
- Cases do not include cardiac surgery, obstetrics, or block procedures
