Location: Malvern, PA
Pay Rate: $28.00/hour
Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM-5:00 PM with a 1-hour lunch
Work Setting: Onsite

IV Pharmacy Technician - Compounding Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced IV Pharmacy Technician to support the preparation and dispensing of infusion therapy medications. This role is ideal for a licensed/registered Pharmacy Technician with IV admixture and compounding experience who is comfortable working in a cleanroom environment.
The IV Technician will perform pharmaceutical infusion compounding, maintain cleanroom standards, support pharmacy inventory and quality control activities, and ensure all work is completed in accordance with applicable pharmacy regulations and safety requirements.
IV Pharmacy Technician - Compounding Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and compound IV medications and other infusion therapies.
- Perform pharmaceutical infusion compounding activities according to established procedures.
- Maintain sanitation and cleanliness of the cleanroom and compounding areas.
- Perform sanitation, maintenance, and tracking of infusion equipment.
- Participate in pharmacy quality control and performance improvement activities.
- Assist with pharmacy inventory control and medication supplies.
- Follow all applicable federal, state, and local pharmacy regulations.
- Maintain compliance with HIPAA and other applicable requirements.
- Safely handle hazardous materials in accordance with established procedures.
- Complete other pharmacy-related duties as assigned.
IV Pharmacy Technician - Compounding Qualifications
- Current Pharmacy Technician registration/license as required by the Pennsylvania Board of Pharmacy.
- IV admixture or IV compounding experience strongly preferred.
- Pharmacy Technician experience required.
- Graduate of a formal Pharmacy Technician training program preferred.
- Hospital or home infusion pharmacy experience preferred.
- At least 1 year of hospital or home infusion experience is preferred.
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Ability to successfully complete required IV Technician training.
IV Pharmacy Technician - Compounding Work Environment & Physical Requirements
- Work in a climate-controlled, smoke-free environment.
- Work with hazardous materials and follow all required safety procedures.
- Ability to sit, stand, walk, stoop, and bend throughout the workday.
- Ability to stand or sit for extended periods, approximately 7-10 hours per day.
- Ability to lift up to 30 pounds occasionally.
- Requires sufficient visual acuity to read fine print and distinguish colors.
- May require extended hours when necessary.
