We are seeking a Pharmacy Technician to support medication fulfillment and pharmacy operations under the direct supervision of a pharmacist. The Pharmacy Technician will select, pick, and package medications and supplies in preparation for shipment to patients. This role will also perform record-keeping duties and assist with inventory control processes as needed.
Pay: $20.00/hour
Schedule: Monday-Thursday, 12:00 PM-9:00 PM; Friday, 10:30 AM-7:30 PM
Key Responsibilities
- Select, pick, and package medications and supplies for shipment to patients.
- Perform required record-keeping and documentation.
- Assist with inventory control and related processes.
- Work under the direct supervision of a pharmacist.
- Operate departmental equipment and machinery as required.
- Assist with additional operational duties as needed.
- Cross-train on the Operations Assistant/Materials Coordinator position while on assignment and provide support in those functions as needed.
Required Qualifications
- Active California Pharmacy Technician License - REQUIRED.
- National pharmacy technician certification does not replace the required California license.
- Ability to work in a safety-sensitive environment.
- Ability to stand for the duration of an 8-10 hour shift.
- Ability to repeatedly lift 5-10 lbs. throughout the shift.
- Ability to occasionally lift up to 30-50 lbs. unassisted - REQUIRED.
- Ability to reach and grasp objects at various levels.
- Ability to use a keyboard and operate departmental machinery.
- Ability to follow safety procedures and work effectively around moving equipment.
Physical Demands
This position requires the ability to:
- Stand for extended periods, including the full duration of an 8-10 hour shift.
- Repeatedly lift 5-10 lbs.
- Occasionally lift up to 30-50 lbs. unassisted during a shift.
- Reach and grasp objects at various levels.
- Utilize a keyboard and operate departmental machinery.
Work Environment
- Regularly works near and around moving machinery, including conveyor belts.
- Noise levels are generally moderate.
- Protective clothing or equipment may be required.
- This is a safety-sensitive position, and employees are expected to follow all applicable safety procedures and requirements.
