Immediate Care Nurse Practitioner / Physician Assistant - Sacramento, CA

Setting: FQHC / Community Health Outpatient Clinic
Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Assistant (PA) to provide immediate and same-day care in a community health setting. The ideal candidate will have experience in urgent care, immediate care, FQHC, or outpatient clinics and be comfortable treating a variety of acute illnesses and minor injuries.
Responsibilities
Evaluate, diagnose, and treat acute illnesses, minor injuries, and same-day concerns
Perform physical exams and obtain medical histories
Order and interpret labs, imaging, and diagnostic tests
Prescribe medications and develop treatment plans
Perform minor office-based procedures as appropriate
Identify and refer patients requiring higher levels of care
Provide patient education and follow-up instructions
Maintain accurate clinical documentation
Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals
Provide culturally sensitive care to underserved and diverse populations
Qualifications
Master's degree or Doctorate from an accredited NP or PA program
Active and unrestricted California NP or PA license
Current board certification
Current BLS and DEA
1-2 years of experience in urgent care, immediate care, FQHC, community health, or outpatient setting
Experience treating acute/same-day patients
Experience working with underserved populations
Bilingual skills preferred, especially Spanish, Russian, Farsi, or Pashto/Pushto
