Job Responsibilities
  • Provide ophthalmological consultation and treatment, focusing on retinal care.
  • Perform diagnostic evaluations and treatments, including intravitreal injections and laser treatments.
  • Coordinate with optometrists within the service unit to ensure integrated care delivery.
  • Document patient encounters and services in the Electronic Health Record (EHR) system in a timely manner.
  • Participate in quality assurance activities to optimize patient care.
Qualifications
  • Proficient in retinal ophthalmology and familiar with American Academy of Ophthalmology treatment standards.
  • Ability to electronically document services using appropriate EMR systems.
  • Willingness to complete facility orientation and thorough understanding of relevant medical guidelines.
Working Hours
  • Clinics are scheduled once a month for a minimum of 4 hours, with potential expansion to 16 hours based on needs.
  • Clinics operate within standard facility hours, preferably scheduled in advance.
Skills
  • Strong diagnostic and clinical skills in ophthalmology.
  • Excellent communication and documentation skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a multi-disciplinary team environment.
