Pharmacy Technician - Specialty Infusion Pharmacy
Location: Syracuse, NY or Rochester, NY - On-site
Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8:30 AM-5:00 PM
Pay: $23.50-$30.00/hour
Sign-On Bonus: $2,000
Position: Full-Time, Direct Hire
M&M Strategic Staffing Solutions is recruiting Pharmacy Technicians for a growing specialty infusion pharmacy with openings in Syracuse and Rochester, NY.
This is an excellent opportunity for a pharmacy professional who enjoys working in a highly organized, patient-focused environment where accuracy, quality and teamwork are essential.
What You'll Do
- Prepare, label, package and stage prescriptions, including sterile admixtures, unit-dose and prepackaged medications
- Generate and process prescription batches for preparation and shipment
- Enter and maintain accurate prescription, inventory and shipment information
- Generate labels, pick lists and packages according to dispensing orders
- Coordinate with intake and billing teams regarding insurance authorization prior to shipment
- Receive, verify and document incoming medications and supplies
- Monitor outbound shipments and delivery documentation
- Assist with inventory management, rotation and returns
- Perform and document quality assurance activities
- Maintain a clean, organized and compliant pharmacy environment
- Work closely with pharmacists and other members of the pharmacy operations team
What We're Looking For
- High school diploma or GED required
- Minimum 2 years of pharmacy experience in a retail, hospital or specialty pharmacy environment
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Good computer skills, including Microsoft Office
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Ability to work effectively in a regulated, fast-paced pharmacy environment
- Commitment to HIPAA compliance and patient confidentiality
Preferred
- Pharmacy Technician training program graduate
- PTCB or other approved national Pharmacy Technician certification
- Experience with CareTend or similar pharmacy software
Not Certified Yet?
Qualified candidates who are not currently certified may still be considered. The selected candidate must obtain an approved national Pharmacy Technician certification and meet applicable New York State licensure/registration requirements within the required timeframe after hire.
