Vascular Surgery NP or PA locums coverage in New York, inpatient service with a mix of rounding and OR first assist. You will rotate nights and weekends with an experienced NP and PA team.

Practice Setting
- Inpatient vascular surgery service, adult and geriatric patients
- Typical total service census 15 to 20 patients
- Daily work includes inpatient medical management and perioperative vascular surgical care
- Team structure includes 5 surgeons plus a dedicated full time NP and PA group
Schedule
- Shifts vary, mix of 10s or 12s, flexibility required
- Day and night coverage, includes 7a to 5p, 7a to 7p, 9a to 9p, 7p to 7a
- Nights and weekends required, rotated among staff
- Call includes in house and beeper, typically 1 to 2 days per week
Cases and Procedures
- Inpatient rounding and medical management, including diabetes, hypertension, and acute illness
- Preoperative and postoperative vascular surgical care
- First assisting in the OR, average 7 to 8 cases per day across the service
- Typical day includes a mix of rounding and OR coverage
Requirements
- Must be a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant
- New York license required, will not wait for license
- Board certified in Vascular Surgery
- ACLS, BLS, DEA, RNFA required
