Qualifications- MD or DO from an accredited medical school
- Completion of ACGME-accredited cardiothoracic surgery training
- Board certified or board eligible in cardiothoracic surgery
- Training and experience in robotic cardiac surgery highly desirable

Position Details- Seeking a Board Certified or Board Eligible Cardiac Surgeon to join the practice.
- Tertiary academic hospital with more than 1,500 open heart cases per year
- Well-established heart failure program including transplant, VADs, and ECMO
- Large-volume valve program: aortic replacement, TAVR, mitral repair and replacement, and minimally invasive mitral and aortic surgery
- Mitral valve repair reference center with the largest mitral valve surgery volume in the Northeast
- 40 operating rooms (4 dedicated to cardiac surgery), 2 hybrid rooms, 5 surgical robots, and 15 minimally invasive ORs
- Dedicated cardiac intensivists and advanced practitioners in critical care
- Dedicated referrals from affiliated hospitals across Connecticut
- Busy, collegial, established team
- Perform adult cardiac surgery including valve and heart failure surgery
- Robotic cardiac surgery
- Teach in the affiliated cardiothoracic surgery residency program
- Academic appointment available
