- End Time: January 1 at 7:00 AM
- Duration: Limited to the listed dates; ongoing coverage is not confirmed
- Schedule: Seven consecutive 24-hour call shifts
- Call Type: In-house call
- Response Time: 30 minutes
- Setting: Inpatient coverage across two local hospitals
- Responsibilities: Consultations, inpatient management, transfers, and urgent GI procedures
- Patient Volume: Approximately 20 patients per shift
- Phone Consultations: Approximately 10 Äì25
- EMR: Cerner and Athena
- Credentialing: Approximately 30 Äì45 days
- Temporary Privileges: Available
Requirements- Board-certified Gastroenterologist
- Active Indiana medical license
- Active Indiana controlled-substance registration
- Active DEA registration
- Active BLS and ABLS certifications
- ERCP training and current diagnostic and therapeutic ERCP competency
- Availability for the complete December 25 ÄìJanuary 1 coverage block
Preferred Skills- Upper and lower GI endoscopy
- Endoscopic ultrasound
- Colonoscopy and sigmoidoscopy
- PEG placement
- Esophageal dilation and manometry
- Liver and small-bowel biopsy
- Management of GI bleeding and varices
Clinical Support- Advanced Practice Providers
