• Schedule: Clinical hours with second-call coverage
• Setting: Outpatient clinic with hospital admissions and assigned-patient rounding
• Call Type: Second call/backup
• Call Ratio: Approximately 1:2
• Call Response Time: 20 minutes
• Callback Rate: Approximately 3%
• EMR: Cerner
• Credentialing: Approximately 60 Äì90 days
• Temporary Privileges: Not available

Requirements
• Board-certified or board-eligible OB/GYN
• Active Maine medical license or IMLC eligibility
• Active BLS and PALS certifications
• Experience managing low- and high-risk pregnancies
• Fetal heart-rate interpretation
• Vaginal and cesarean deliveries
• Breech and multiple-birth deliveries
• Management of placental abruptions
• Repair of third- and fourth-degree lacerations
• Laparoscopic and operative gynecological procedures
• Ability to supervise midwives
Preferred Skills
• OB ultrasound performance and interpretation
• VBAC deliveries
• Office and minor gynecological procedures
• Additional surgical gynecology experience
Clinical Details
• Approximately 13 Äì18 patients per shift
• Approximately three phone consultations during call
• Approximately two admissions
• Approximately 230 deliveries annually
• 10-bed department
• Support includes:
- 2 RNs - 4 Medical Assistants - 3 midwives - 4 office staff members
• No resident or teaching responsibilities
