- No admissions
- No APP supervision or teaching responsibilities
- Temporary privileges may be available
- Approximately 60 days for credentialing
Coverage Schedule- December 15: Start/orientation
- December 16 Äì18: 7:00 a.m. Äì5:00 p.m.
- December 19 Äì20: 24-hour beeper call
- December 21 Äì24: 7:00 a.m. Äì5:00 p.m., plus beeper call from 7:00 p.m. Äì7:00 a.m.
- December 28 Äì31: 7:00 a.m. Äì5:00 p.m., plus beeper call from 7:00 p.m. Äì7:00 a.m.
Clinical Responsibilities- Provide anesthesia for healthy and medically complex pediatric patients
- Provide general anesthesia for adult cases
- MAC and general anesthesia
- Emergent and elective procedures
- Intubations and airway management during codes
- IV and arterial line placement
- Pediatric, orthopedic, OB, and regional cases
- Work with Draeger Apollo anesthesia machines and Omnicell medication dispensing
Requirements- Board-certified anesthesiologist
- Pediatric anesthesiology training and experience
- Comfortable treating healthy and medically complex pediatric patients
- Willing and able to cover adult general anesthesia cases
- Current ACLS, BLS, and PALS certifications
- Available for the complete December coverage schedule
- No pending malpractice claims
- Hospital privileges required
