Requirements- ABEM-certified or ABEM-eligible Emergency Medicine physician
- Active ACLS, ATLS, BLS, and PALS certifications
- Ability to perform procedural sedation
- Advanced airway-management experience
- Central-line and ultrasound-guided vascular-access proficiency
- Ability to lead code-blue responses and participate in trauma care
- Willingness to supervise APPs and support resident education
- Must use the required real-time mobile timekeeping system
Clinical Details- Tertiary Level II trauma center
- 38 combined emergency and urgent-care beds
- Approximately 100 Äì180 patients across each 24-hour period
- APP coverage provided throughout the week
- Full 24-hour specialty support, including:
- Anesthesia - Cardiothoracic and vascular surgery - General and orthopedic surgery - Neurosurgery - Cardiac catheterization - Laboratory and radiology- Level III NICU with in-house OB coverage
- Most conditions are managed onsite, with limited transfers for highly specialized care
