Position Overview
A well-established healthcare organization in Florida is seeking a Board-Certified or Board-Eligible Neurologist to join its outpatient neurology team. This opportunity is focused on general outpatient neurology , providing evaluation, diagnosis, treatment, and ongoing management for patients with a broad range of neurological conditions.
Responsibilities
- Evaluate and diagnose patients presenting with a variety of neurological conditions.
- Conduct comprehensive neurological examinations and develop individualized treatment plans.
- Manage common outpatient neurological conditions, including headaches, epilepsy, neuropathy, movement disorders, and other neurological disorders.
- Order and interpret appropriate laboratory, imaging, and diagnostic studies.
- Provide ongoing management and follow-up for patients with chronic neurological conditions.
- Prescribe medications and adjust treatment plans based on clinical findings and patient response.
- Educate patients and families regarding diagnoses, treatment options, and disease management.
- Maintain accurate and timely medical documentation.
- Collaborate with primary care providers, specialists, and other healthcare professionals.
- Provide high-quality, patient-centered outpatient neurological care.
Qualifications
- MD or DO degree from an accredited medical school.
- Board Certified or Board Eligible in Neurology.
- Completion of an accredited Neurology residency.
- Active Florida medical license or eligibility for licensure.
- DEA registration or eligibility to obtain one.
- Strong clinical assessment and diagnostic skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a collaborative outpatient environment.
