Surgical Technologist to support surgeons and clinical teams throughout a variety of invasive and non-invasive surgical procedures in a fast-paced operating room environment.
This role offers the opportunity to work alongside surgeons, nurses, anesthesia professionals, and other members of the surgical team while helping maintain a safe, efficient, and well-organized operating room. The Surgical Technologist will be responsible for preparing equipment and instruments, maintaining sterile technique, and anticipating the needs of the surgical team.

Key Responsibilities

Prepare the operating room, surgical instruments, equipment, and supplies for procedures

Assist surgeons and other members of the surgical team during invasive and non-invasive procedures

Maintain a sterile field and follow infection prevention and safety protocols

Anticipate the needs of the surgeon and provide appropriate instruments and supplies

Ensure surgical equipment is functioning properly before and during procedures

Perform surgical counts and maintain accurate documentation
-
Recognize significant patient conditions or reactions and promptly notify the appropriate care team

Assist with operating room turnover and preparation for subsequent procedures

Maintain appropriate handling of surgical instruments, supplies, and equipment

Collaborate with surgeons, nurses, anesthesia personnel, and other healthcare professionals

Follow departmental policies, procedures, quality standards, and safety protocols

Support efficient operating room workflow while maintaining a strong focus on patient safety
Qualifications

High school diploma or GED
-
Completion of a Surgical Technology program with eligibility to sit for certification or qualifying experience as a Surgical Tech

Surgical Technologist I: minimum 2 years of Surgical Technologist/Technician experience if a Surgical Tech program has not been completed

Surgical Technologist II: Surgical Technology certification with 3+ years of experience, or 5+ years of Surgical Tech experience

Current American Heart Association BLS/CPR

Surgical Technology certification preferred
