FACILITY INFORMATION
  • No. of Beds in Department: 10-bed CVICU, 16-bed step-down
  • EMR: Epic
PRIVILEGES & COMPLIANCE
  • Hospital Privileges Required: Yes
  • Temporary Privileges Available: Yes (5 days)
  • Credentialing Timeline: 5 days
REQUIRED PROCEDURES

JOB REQUIREMENTS
  • Board: BC in Cardiothoracic Surgery (ABTS or ABS)
  • Licenses: Active Idaho License
  • Active DEA Certification
  • Certifications: ACLS, BLS
  • Experience: Completion of ACGME/AOA residency and CT fellowship
  • Other Qualifications: Clean background, no malpractice history, ability to obtain privileges
  • Must be available to cover significant shifts between 10/12-11/2
Duties & Responsibilities
  • Perform adult cardiac surgeries including CABG, valve repair/replacement, aortic dissection repair
  • Perform general thoracic surgeries including thoracotomy lung resections, pneumonectomy, tube thoracostomy
  • Manage VA and VV ECMO placement and management
  • Participate in 24-hour on-call coverage for cardiothoracic emergencies
  • Collaborate with APPs, perfusionists, and OR staff to ensure high-quality patient care
