Core Faculty Physician with a focus in Sports Medicine. This is an excellent opportunity for a Family Medicine physician who is passionate about resident education, clinical mentorship, and sports medicine to help train the next generation of primary care physicians while maintaining an active clinical practice.The residency program is entering its second year and includes six residents per class. The ideal candidate will bring a passion for resident education, clinical excellence, mentorship, and the advancement of full-scope Family Medicine care.
Position HighlightsProvide direct supervision, precepting, and teaching to Family Medicine residents in both outpatient and inpatient settings.Assist with the refinement and delivery of the residency curriculum while ensuring continued compliance with ACGME requirements.Mentor and advise residents on clinical skills, scholarly activity, research, career development, and professional growth.Participate in and facilitate resident scholarly activity and quality-improvement initiatives.Maintain an active clinical practice in Family Medicine with a focus on Sports Medicine.Help develop and strengthen sports medicine education within the residency curriculum.Enjoy a balanced work-life schedule with flexibility and no practice call.Contribute to the continued growth and success of a developing Family Medicine Residency Program.60% Instruction / 40% Clinical
QualificationsBoard eligible or board certified in Family Medicine.Completion of an accredited Sports Medicine fellowship.Graduate Medical Education experience is highly desirable.Eligible for an unrestricted California medical license.Demonstrated interest in resident education, clinical teaching, mentorship, and Sports Medicine.Commitment to high-quality, evidence-based, patient-centered Family Medicine care.
