One of the Mid-South's largest, most established healthcare systems is seeking a Board-Certified or Board-Eligible Transplant Nephrologist to join its growing multidisciplinary kidney transplant team in Memphis, TN. The program has led in organ transplantation for more than 40 years and partners with a major academic health sciences university.
You will provide comprehensive transplant nephrology care across the continuum, including pre-transplant evaluations, waitlist management and post-transplant follow-up, while helping expand transplant access across the region.
Key Responsibilities:
- Evaluate and manage advanced CKD/ESRD patients being considered for transplant
- Manage kidney transplant recipients, inpatient and outpatient
- Oversee immunosuppression plans and manage rejection, infection and allograft complications
- Participate in selection committee and program planning
- Collaborate with surgeons, dialysis providers, PCPs and referring nephrologists
- Support living donor evaluations
- Contribute to quality, compliance, research and fellow training
Qualifications:
- MD or DO; completed Nephrology Fellowship
- Board Certified or Eligible in Nephrology
- Training and experience in Transplant Nephrology
- Eligible for unrestricted Tennessee licensure and DEA registration
- Preferred: AST involvement, complex inpatient/outpatient transplant experience
