Overview

In this role you deliver comprehensive dental care within a large community health network, contributing to access for uninsured and underserved patients. You work under department standards and collaborate with dental specialists, clinicians, and para-professional staff. You'll help shape quality protocols and ensure cost effective, high quality dental services. Responsibilities
  • Complete documentation accurately and timely per department standards and insurance requirements
  • Consult with appropriate dental specialists and refer patients when needed
  • Instruct and supervise dental hygienists, dental assistants, and para-professional staff
  • Develop and review dental treatment protocols, audit procedures, and quality assurance processes
  • Provide dental care including root canal therapy, restorative procedures, and oral surgery; work with cost-effective resource use
Key requirements
  • CPR/BLS or ACLS/ATLS/Advanced Resuscitation Training
  • DEA license
  • Graduate of accredited Dental School
  • California license as DDS or DMD
  • AGD membership preferred
  • General practice residency or equivalent of 2 years clinical experience preferred
  • Ability to work with diverse populations
  • Team-based and independent working skills
  • Basic computer literacy; EMR documentation fluency
  • Knowledge of dental practices, protocols, trends, and best practices
  • Effective training and coaching skills; drive results through others
  • Strong interpersonal and customer service skills
  • Good written and verbal communication skills
