Psychiatry Physician

Position Highlights:

• Location: Auburn, NY
• Duration: Ongoing assignment (minimum 1-year commitment)
• Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM-4:30 PM
• The Locum works in a variety of settings specifically our ICP which is like a day treatment type of program and with our SMI population. They will also be asked to complete evaluations (2PC, Competency, etc.) and Court Ordered Psychiatric Medications (COPM).
• Areas of coverage to include RCTP (Resident Crisis Treatment Program, Residential Rehabilitation Unit(RRU) and Special Housing Unit(SHU).
• Setting: Outpatient Corrections / Maximum Security Facility
• Patient Volume: Approximately 10-16 patients per day
• Responsibilities include psychiatric evaluations, competency evaluations, court-related assessments, and Court Ordered Psychiatric Medication (COPM) cases
• Credentialing timeline: Approximately 4-6 weeks.

Requirements:

• Forensic psychiatry/corrections experience required
• Active New York license and DEA
• Board Certified (or within 3 years of residency completion)
• Comfortable working independently and utilizing Microsoft Word/computer-based documentation
