Job description

We are seeking a dedicated and energetic Certified Medical Assistant to join our dynamic healthcare team. In this vital role, you will provide exceptional patient care and support clinical operations across various specialties, including dermatology, urgent care, and medical-surgical settings. Responsibilities

Assist healthcare providers with patient intake, including collecting medical histories and vital signs
Prepare examination rooms and ensure all necessary supplies and equipment are ready for patient visits
Perform clinical tasks such as phlebotomy, medication administration, and basic life support procedures
Document patient interactions accurately using Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems and manage medical records efficiently
Support medical office management by scheduling appointments, managing patient flow, and handling administrative support tasks
Ensure compliance with medical terminology standards, ICD coding, and physiology knowledge during documentation
Provide excellent patient service by addressing questions, explaining procedures, and ensuring a positive experience
Qualifications

Certified Medical Assistant with current certification from an accredited program
Proven experience in medical office settings, preferably with outpatient or inpatient care environments
Knowledge of dermatology, hospital medicine, urgent care, and medical-surgical practices is highly desirable
Familiarity with EMR/EHR systems and electronic health records management tools
Strong understanding of medical terminology, anatomy, pharmacology, and physiology
Ability to perform phlebotomy and medication administration accurately and safely
Basic life support (BLS) certification required; additional certifications in hospital or trauma center environments are a plus
Excellent patient service skills with a compassionate approach to care delivery
