Key Responsibilities:
- Receives, verifies, and processes specimens accurately and efficiently to meet turnaround standards.
- Confirms proper labeling and acceptability of specimens; resolves discrepancies as needed.
- Performs and documents testing and blood component processing per protocols.
- Selects and issues appropriate blood components; maintains accurate TSIS documentation.
- Ensures adequate inventory of blood components and uses resources effectively.
- Identifies abnormal results, repeats tests when necessary, and reports accurate findings.
- Maintains a clean, organized workspace and follows safety protocols.
- Assists team members during high-volume periods; works independently and efficiently.
- Reviews logs for pending specimens to ensure completeness and accuracy.
Requirements:
- Experience
- Degree in Medical Technology or related study
- AMT or ASCP certified
