WPA Medicine Staffing is seeking a Board Certified or Board Eligible Emergency Medicine Physician for an Emergency Department opportunity in Tennessee. This assignment offers the opportunity to practice in a high-acuity Level I Trauma Center and regional tertiary referral center with a strong physician and APP coverage model, comprehensive specialty support, and an annual ED volume of approximately 36,000 visits.

• Coverage Model: 37 physician hours/day and 34 APP hours/day
• Shifts: 9-hour and 10-hour shifts
• EMR: Epic
• Cross-Credentialing: Emergency Department, Observation, and Pediatric Hospital services
• Supervision: Must be willing to supervise Nurse Practitioners and Physician Assistants

This regional tertiary referral center is a 445-bed hospital serving as a major referral destination for East Tennessee. The facility provides comprehensive specialty services and includes a 37-bed children's hospital .

The Emergency Department provides care across a broad range of emergency presentations and operates with a robust physician and APP coverage model. Providers will be required to obtain shared privileges and cross-credentialing for the Emergency Department, Observation services, and pediatric hospital services.

• Board Certified or Board Eligible in Emergency Medicine
• ABEM candidates only
• MD or DO from an accredited medical school
• Completion of an approved Emergency Medicine residency program
• New graduates accepted
• Emergency Medicine residency graduates within the past 12 months will be considered
• ECFMG certification required for foreign medical graduates
• Active, unrestricted Tennessee medical license
• Active DEA registration with a Tennessee address
• DEA Schedules 2, 2N, 3, 3N, 4, and 5
• ACLS and ATLS required
• PALS required if not ABEM certified
• NRP required for non-ABEM providers
• Must be willing and able to serve as a supervising physician for NPs and PAs
