Job description

Urology Opportunity in Outside of Metro IN

An established urology service line in Indiana is seeking a General Urologist to join a high-volume practice with strong internal and regional referrals. The position offers a broad general urology scope, advanced OR resources, strong APP support, and a sustainable call schedule, with the opportunity to expand procedural offerings such as HoLEP.

Practice Overview

  • You'll join a high-volume urology/urogynecology service line with 2 full-time urologists, 4 urology APPs, plus urogynecology support already in place
  • Employed practice model with hospitalist support for inpatient admissions (excluding scheduled surgical admissions)
  • Broad general urology scope with in-office procedures including cystoscopy, prostate biopsy, vasectomy, urodynamics, and bladder cancer immunotherapy
  • Well-equipped OR: Xi robot, holmium laser (with backup), digital scopes, and dedicated specialty OR teams; EPIC EMR

Schedule

  • Full-time clinical schedule with a balanced clinic/OR model (typically 2 surgical blocks, dedicated admin time, and the remainder in clinic; anesthesia availability may adjust blocks)
  • Call is 1:4 with APPs taking first call; Level III trauma environment with infrequent overnight emergencies
  • Predominantly general urology volume with urogynecology already established; minimal expectation to carry subspecialty-heavy work
  • Built-in support staff to keep your day moving: 1-2 MAs per provider, triage/chemo RN, and centralized prior-auth assistance

Compensation & Benefits

  • $600,000 base salary guarantee (Years 1-2); transitions in Year 3 to $570,000 base plus productivity and incentives
  • Productivity: $65.44 per wRVU with an annual threshold of 8,711 wRVUs; Value-Based Incentives up to $14,750 starting Year 3
  • $100,000 sign-on bonus (paid in two installments) with relocation included; residency stipend available ($24,000)
  • Comprehensive benefits package including malpractice coverage, $5,000 CME + 5 CME days, PTO, health/dental/vision/life, and retirement plans; PSLF-eligible employment

Candidate Requirements

  • MD/DO with BE/BC in Urology
  • Open to new graduates and experienced physicians
  • Comfortable managing a predominantly general urology practice; interest in adding HoLEP is highly welcomed
  • Visa sponsorship available (HHS waiver eligible)

Community & Location Highlights

  • Live and work in a family-friendly Indiana community with an easy commute and access to everyday amenities
  • Cost of living can go further here; more space and housing options compared with many metro areas
  • Convenient access to larger city dining, entertainment, and major airports within a reasonable drive
  • Plenty of options for outdoor time, youth sports, and weekend getaways across the region
