Job description

Opportunity Details:
  • Inpatient / hospital-based Gastroenterology coverage
  • 100% inpatient
  • Adult and geriatric patient population
  • Approximately 8 follow-up patients and 6 8 new consults per day
  • 24-hour call coverage
  • Saturday 7:00 AM through the following Saturday at 7:00 AM
  • In-house coverage from 7:00 AM 7:00 PM, followed by pager/beeper overnight
  • Approximately 1 week of coverage per month
  • Call ratio: 1:4
  • Average call-back: approximately 2 hours/week
  • Epic EMR
  • Level II Trauma Center
  • No teaching or leadership responsibilities
  • ERCP experience preferred, but not required
Requirements:
  • Board Certified in Gastroenterology
  • Gastroenterology fellowship required
  • Active Michigan medical license
  • ACLS and BLS through AHA
  • Experience with hospital-based GI procedures, including:
    • Colonoscopy
    • EGD
    • ERCP
    • Advanced GI procedures
  • Epic EMR experience preferred
