Title: Family Nurse Practitioner

Schedule: Monday Friday, 8:00 AM 4:30 PM
Hours: 37.5 hours/week
Contract: 12 months, with option to renew
Position Overview Seeking a Family Nurse Practitioner, Adult Nurse Practitioner, or Acute Care Nurse Practitioner with Full Practice Authority (FPA) in Illinois to provide medical care to adult inpatient behavioral health patients.
The provider will cover 2 3 units (civil and minimal forensic) and will manage medical needs only not psychiatric care.
Requirements - Current Illinois NP License
- Full Practice Authority (FPA) in Illinois Required
- FNP, Adult NP/AGNP, or Acute Care NP certification
- Current Illinois Controlled Substance Certificate
- Current DEA certificate
- Negative Mantoux/TB test within the last 90 days or prior to start

Responsibilities- Provide primary medical care and conduct admission physicals.
- Evaluate and treat routine illnesses and injuries.
- Order and interpret labs and diagnostic tests.
- Prescribe medications and therapies as appropriate.
- Conduct rounds and document medical assessments/progress.
- Coordinate follow-up from outside medical consultations.
- Provide urgent medical evaluation when needed.
- Participate in interdisciplinary treatment planning and clinical meetings.
- Support evidence-based practices and Joint Commission standards.
