A respected healthcareorganization in Martinsburg is seeking a dedicated Pediatric Nurse Practitioneror Physician Assistant to join its growing outpatient pediatric team. Thisopportunity is ideal for an advanced practice provider who is passionate aboutdelivering comprehensive pediatric care in a collaborative and patient-centeredenvironment.
The provider will care forpediatric patients ranging from newborns through the provider's preferred agerange while working alongside experienced physicians and healthcareprofessionals in a supportive clinical setting.
Position Highlights
- Schedule: Monday through Friday
- Hours: 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM
- Setting: Outpatient only
- EMR: Epic
- Average patient volume: 16-18 patients per day
Call Requirements
- After-hours phone call only
- No in-person call responsibilities
- Call frequency:
- 1-2 weekdays per month
- Approximately 3 weekends per year
Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive outpatient pediatric care
- Evaluate, diagnose, and treat acute and chronic pediatric conditions
- Conduct wellness visits, preventive care, and immunizations
- Care for patients from birth through the provider's preferred age range
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation in the EMR system
- Collaborate with physicians, nursing staff, and interdisciplinary care teams to ensure high-quality patient care
Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant program
- Board Certified Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant
- Active West Virginia license or ability to obtain
- DEA registration required by start date
- Pediatric experience preferred
