What You ll Do:
  • Provide open ICU coverage in a busy emergency department with an annual patient volume of approximately 32,000.
  • Manage daily patient volumes of 90-100 patients, with each physician seeing about 18-20 patients per shift.
  • Work collaboratively with a team of one physician and two mid-level providers.
  • Utilize Meditech 6.1 EMR system for patient documentation.
  • Deliver high-quality emergency care across diverse cases, including complex cases typical for an emergency medicine setting.
  • Ensure compliance with state and federal regulations, including Medicaid and PECOS requirements.
  • Maintain standards of care in a hospital environment with a dedicated team supporting your success.

What You Need:
Required
  • Active North Carolina Medical License
  • Enrollment in NC Medicaid and PECOS
  • Emergency Medicine residency training or equivalent experience
  • Strong clinical judgment and patient management skills

Preferred
  • Experience working in a hospital ED setting
  • Ability to handle high patient volumes efficiently
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills
