General Neurologist - San Antonio, TX Job SummaryWe are seeking a skilled and compassionate Board-Certified General Neurologist to join a growing healthcare team in New Braunfels, TX. The ideal candidate will diagnose and manage a wide range of neurological conditions and perform neurodiagnostic procedures, including Electroencephalograms (EEGs) and Electromyography (EMGs).
This role offers a balanced mix of clinical care and procedural expertise, providing comprehensive neurological care in an outpatient-focused setting.
Key Responsibilities- Diagnose and treat disorders of the brain, spinal cord, peripheral nerves, and muscles
- Conduct comprehensive neurological examinations and interpret findings
- Develop individualized treatment plans and monitor patient progress
- Provide high-quality, patient-centered neurological care
- Procedural Duties
- Perform and interpret Electroencephalograms (EEGs)
- Conduct Electromyography (EMG) and nerve conduction studies
- Evaluate neuromuscular disorders and peripheral nerve conditions
- Stay current with advancements in neurology and neurodiagnostic technology
Qualifications- MD or DO degree from an accredited institution
- Completion of an accredited Neurology Residency
- Board Certification in Neurology (ABPN or equivalent)
- Proficiency in performing and interpreting EEGs and EMGs
- Strong clinical and diagnostic skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
- Commitment to patient-centered care
Preferred SkillsFamiliarity with Neurology CPT Coding (e.g., 99204, 99214, 95886, 95913)
Experience in outpatient neurology clinic
Ability to manage workflow efficiently and reduce no-show rates
EMR and documentation experience
