Our client in Texas is actively seeking an Advanced Gastroenterologist for a 7-day assignment beginning Oct 15, 2026. This role involves a 24-hour call schedule from 7 AM to 7 AM, where the Physician will primarily perform scheduled colonoscopies, manage inpatient consults from the previous night, and handle a variety of complex gastrointestinal procedures including small bowel biopsies, lower GI endoscopy, sigmoidoscopy, flexible and rigid colonoscopy, endoscopic ultrasound (EUS), and liver biopsies.
Responsibilities and Duties
- Perform scheduled colonoscopies.
- Visit and manage inpatient consults.
- Conduct small bowel biopsies.
- Perform lower GI endoscopy.
- Conduct sigmoidoscopy, both flexible and rigid.
- Perform colonoscopy, including procedures with biopsy or excision of polyps.
- Execute endoscopic ultrasound (EUS).
- Perform liver biopsies.
