Job description

  • Full-time orthopedic surgeon position with hospital-employed medical group
  • Fellowship training in adult reconstruction or sports medicine required
  • Board certification required
  • 3"5 years of practice experience preferred
  • Opportunity to build and lead a total joints program
  • Join established orthopedic team serving local and surrounding communities
  • Community currently supported by 4 orthopedic surgeons
  • Role driven by succession planning due to retirement and market growth
  • Non-profit, non-corporate community hospital ( 150 beds), city"county owned
  • Modern facility with advanced technology and spacious clinical environment
  • Level IV trauma center designation
  • New two-story medical office building under construction ( $12M project)
  • Second medical office building in master planned medical campus
  • Hospital recognized nationally for quality orthopaedic care
  • Five-star ratings in hip fracture repair for over a decade
  • Five-star ratings in knee replacement outcomes for multiple years
  • Ranked in top single-digit percent nationally in orthopedics by external benchmarking
  • Established referral network with strong market capture from smaller rural areas
  • Travel to outlying clinics required
  • 1:4 home call
  • Base salary $550K plus wRVU production incentives
  • Full physician benefits including health and dental coverage

  • Residency requirement within 30 minutes of hospital
  • Approximately 30 minutes to San Antonio and 45 minutes to Austin
