Physician - Emergency Medicine
Job Details:
Provide emergency medicine coverage with shifts available 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM and 7:00 PM to 7:00 AMABEM board certification preferred; exceptions made for strong experienced providersMultiple full-time positions available on an ongoing basisOne emergency medicine physician typically on staff per shiftPerform standard emergency department procedures including intubation, procedural sedation, fracture reduction/splinting, chest tube placement, CPR, suture repair, incision & drainage, and central line placementManage an average patient census of 55-60 patients daily, approximately 2 patients per hour with occasional larger patient volumesTreat common cases including medical complaints such as chest pain, abdominal pain, and shortness of breath, as well as basic trauma including falls, motor vehicle collisions, and sports injuriesSevere or penetrating trauma cases are rareWork alongside nursing staff and on-call specialistsComplete 2 shadow shifts for orientationFacility:
