Job Summary:
Mission Health is seeking a Child and Adolescent Psychiatrist to join our multidisciplinary behavioral health team located in Asheville, North Carolina.
Qualified Candidates: - Board certified or board eligible in Child & Adolescent Psychiatry
- Experience with common co-occurring conditions such as trauma spectrum, eating disorders, and substance use disorders
- 100% inpatient setting at Sweeten Creek
- 24 bed Child & Adolescent Unit
- 7 on/7 off schedule with 10-hour shifts
- Provides Collaborative Care Management (CoCM) consultation with employed primary care integrated clinicians
- Please note that this position does not offer visa support

About Mission Health s Behavioral Health Services: - 120-bed freestanding psychiatric hospital, Sweeten Creek, which opened in 2023
- 23-bed emergency department psychiatric evaluation area and 10-bed behavioral health pod in the new Mission Hospital emergency department
- Consultation on the pediatrics service and in the emergency department
- Active ECT program
- Involvement in teaching and supervision as part of new residency training program through MAHEC, with academic appointments possible
