Job description

  • ASAP
  • Minimum Availability Required: 5 days per month.
  • Weekend Requirement: Availability must include some weekend shifts each month.
  • Primary Need: Night shifts are the priority, but all shift types will be considered.
  • Shift Structure:
  • Bayhealth Kent & Bayhealth Sussex: 10-hour night shifts.
  • Smyrna & Total Care Route 9 (Freestanding EDs): 12-hour night shifts.
  • Locum Shift Schedule:
  • Freestanding EDs: 12-hour shifts.
  • Hospital locations: 10-hour shifts.
  • Practice Setting: Both inpatient and outpatient.
  • Route 9: Approximately 65 patients/day.
  • Smyrna: Approximately 54 patients/day.
  • Kent: Approximately 160 patients/day.
  • Sussex: Approximately 95-105 patients/day.
  • Kent: One physician until 1:00 AM and APC coverage until 7:00 AM.
  • Sussex: One physician until midnight and APC coverage until 4:00 AM.
  • Certifications: BC ABEM or AOBEM, DE License or IMLC
  • Minimum Candidate Commitment: 5 shifts per month (5 SPM).
  • Credentialing Timeframe: Approximately 60 days.
