Cardiac Anaesthesiologist Albany, New York Position Overview
We are seeking a Board Certified/Board Eligible Cardiac Anesthesiologist to join a leading cardiovascular program in Albany, New York. Responsibilities
- Provide anesthesia care for adult cardiac and major thoracic surgical procedures
- Perform comprehensive preoperative evaluations and risk assessments
- Administer and manage general anesthesia for:
- Coronary artery bypass grafting (CABG)
- Valve repair and replacement
- Aortic surgery
- Structural heart procedures
- Minimally invasive and robotic cardiac procedures
- Perform and interpret perioperative Transesophageal Echocardiography (TEE)
- Manage invasive hemodynamic monitoring and cardiovascular support
- Collaborate closely with cardiac surgeons, intensivists, perfusionists, and nursing teams
- Participate in postoperative critical care management as needed
- Maintain accurate clinical documentation and comply with quality and safety standards
Qualifications
- MD or DO from an accredited medical school
- Completion of an accredited Anesthesiology residency
- Fellowship training in Cardiac Anesthesiology preferred
- Board Certified or Board Eligible in Anesthesiology
- Certification or eligibility for Advanced Perioperative Transesophageal Echocardiography (PTEeXAM/NBE) preferred
- Eligible for or currently licensed to practice medicine in New York
- DEA certification (or eligibility)
