Assignment Details
• Dates:
- October 15 Äì19, 2026 - October 30 ÄìNovember 2, 2026 - November 20 Äì22, 2026 - December 4 Äì7, 2026 - December 10 Äì14, 2026 - December 17 Äì20, 2026 - December 31, 2026
• October coverage is tentative based on temporary-privilege timing; November 1 is the expected start
• Assignment is ongoing, but specific 2027 shifts have not yet been released
• Schedule: 24-hour beeper call, 6am Äì6am
• Setting: Inpatient
• Call response time: 20 Äì30 minutes
• EMR: Epic
• Providers needed: 2
• Credentialing: Approximately 30 Äì60 days
Requirements
• Active California medical license
• Board certified or board eligible within 3 Äì5 years of residency
• Pediatric Hospitalist with neonatology experience, or Neonatologist comfortable treating pediatric patients
• Active DEA
• Current ACLS, BLS, PALS, and NRP
• Completely clean malpractice, NPDB, licensure, and professional history
• CV and documentation covering 24 months of relevant clinical activity
• References available to respond promptly
Clinical Details
• Manage NICU patients at 32 weeks Äô gestation and above
• Newborn resuscitation and management of premature infants
• Required skills:
- Neonatal airway management and intubation - Management of neonatal pneumothorax and needle decompression - Emergent delivery-room UVC placement - UVC and UAC placement - Lumbar puncture - EKG interpretation
• Ventilator management and neonatal chest tube placement preferred
