Assignment Details
• Start/end: November 1, 2026, ongoing; specific coverage blocks available through December
• Schedule: 24-hour beeper call, 6am-6am
• Coverage type: Inpatient call only
• Setting: Approximately 80% NICU / 20% pediatrics; NICU patients down to 32 weeks
• EMR: Epic
• Credentialing: 30-60 days; temporary privileges available for qualified clean-file candidates
Clinical Details
• Required scope: Pediatric hospitalist with neonatology experience OR neonatologist comfortable managing pediatric patients
• Required scope: Newborn resuscitation and management of premature infants 32 weeks and above
• Required scope: Neonatal airway management including intubation
• Required scope: Management of neonatal air leak/pneumothorax including needle decompression
• Required scope: Emergent UVC placement, UVC/UAC placement, lumbar puncture, and EKG interpretation
• Preferred scope: Ventilator management and neonatal chest tube insertion
Requirements
• Board certified or board eligible within 3-5 years of residency
• License: active CA license required
• ACLS, BLS, PALS, and NRP
• Active DEA
