Tyler, Texas Orthopedic SurgeryPosition Overview
  • Position: Full-Time Faculty Orthopedic Surgeon
  • Practice Setting: Academic medical center and regional referral system
  • Subspecialties Encouraged: General Orthopedics, Joint Replacement
  • Trauma: Level I Trauma Center
  • Group: 17 orthopedic physicians with 13 APPs
Availability
  • Monday-Thursday: 8:00 AM-5:00 PM
  • Friday: 8:00 AM-12:00 PM
  • Protected Administrative Time: 4 hours/week
  • Call: Approximately 3 days/month
  • Patient Volume: 20-25 patients/day
  • Case Mix: 90% outpatient / 10% inpatient
Licenses & Certifications
  • Board Certification: Orthopedic Surgery - Required
  • Board Eligibility: Orthopedic Surgery - Accepted

  • 12 total ORs
  • 2 cystoscopy rooms

  • 3 EP labs, including hybrid OR
  • 78 ICU beds
  • 14 Labor & Delivery beds
  • 20 Step Down beds
  • 9 NICU beds + 7 NICU Step Down beds
  • Licensed Beds: 432
