Job Summary
Operating Room (OR) Nurse position available in a healthcare facility located in a busy clinical setting. This role involves providing high-quality perioperative care to pediatric, adult, and geriatric patients undergoing various surgical procedures. The position requires the ability to work independently within a collaborative team environment and to support patient safety and comfort throughout the surgical process.
Job Details
- Schedule: 8-hour shift from 6:30 AM to 3:00 PM, with a minimum of 40 hours per week
- Required Qualifications: Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing, current BLS, ACLS, and PALS certification via American Heart Association, RN License in state of employment or compact, 1 year of experience in operating room nursing preferred
- Preferred Qualifications: Additional clinical certifications or specialized surgical experience are a plus
- Additional Information: The caseload includes patients undergoing procedures such as pain management injections (e.g., Kyphoplasty), ENT surgeries (ear tubes, tonsils, sinus, thyroid), urology (cysto, TURP, PCNL, Lithotripsy, robotic sacrocolpopexy, partial kidney surgery), gynecology (total laparoscopic hysterectomy, ablations, lap gyn, Dilation and Curettage), podiatry, general surgeries (cholecystectomy, appendectomy, hernias), and some orthopedic cases (hip pinning, knee scope, shoulder scopes). L&D cases are not included. The assignment is expected to commence on 10/19/2026 and end on 01/18/2027, with the possibility of extension.
