Opportunity:Physician - Internal Medicine - Gastroenterology
Job Details:- Permanent placement position in Gastroenterology with approximately 12 patient encounters per shift
- No endoscopic ultrasound (EUS) expectation or requirement for this role
- Providers can begin once credentialed, with an estimated credentialing timeframe of 90 days
- Fellowship-trained candidates within 1 year of residency will be considered
- Candidates without a California license will be considered if they have strong ties to Orange County or California
- Perform upper GI endoscopy procedures including biopsy, foreign body removal, fulguration of bleeding sites, injection of varices, and PEG placement
- ERCP (diagnostic and therapeutic) preferred but not required
- Perform esophageal dilatation and manometry
- Perform small bowel biopsy procedures
- Perform lower GI endoscopy including flexible and rigid sigmoidoscopy
- Perform colonoscopy with biopsy and polyp excision
- Insertion and management of Sengstaken/Blakemore tube required
- Board certification required with ACLS and BLS certifications
- Target start date of July 1, with potential for earlier start if candidate is identified quickly
